Gingery goodness

Glass Underground has a water jet glass cutter and the best pre-cut shapes out there. I made some double fired Gingerbreads for Christmas. Loved how they came out.

I tried 3 colors: 203, 310 and 309. First firing was a hot tack to really mush in the thick rod for the dresses.

After first firing

Top temp 1400F - learned cinnabar needs a little fiber paper to keep the hole open.

Second firing was a sugar tack and polish for a sugar cooky look

Top Temp 1215F just out of the kiln.
